Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Radiology Technologist to operate imaging equipment for diagnostic body scans, ensuring patient safety and ALARA standards. You will greet patients, obtain histories, set up rooms, and produce high-quality images while maintaining documentation and PACS transmission.

The role requires ARRT certification, MA licensure in Radiation Control, and CPR; strong communication in English and teamwork with physicians, nurses, and students is essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program.
• Registered by the ARRT or registry eligible; MA licensure required.
• CPR certification and ongoing licensure maintenance required.
• Strong anatomy knowledge, patient positioning, and medical imaging protocols.

Responsibilities

• Operate radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic images.
• Maintain patient safety and ALARA compliance.
• Explain procedures clearly in English and support patient comfort.
• Prepare rooms, equipment, and contrast media as required.
• Record, label, and transmit images to PACS; document patient data.
