Job summary

UMass Memorial Health Radiology Department is seeking a Per Diem Radiology Technologist to operate diagnostic radiologic equipment, obtain accurate patient history, and ensure ALARA safety during scans.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited radiologic technology program, ARRT certification or registry eligibility, MA licensure, and CPR within 30 days of hire. Strong English communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program.

Responsibilities

• Operate radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic images.
• Follow quality control policies and radiation safety regulations.
• Greet patients and obtain medical histories.
• Explain procedures in English and ensure patient comfort and safety.
• Perform bone density tests and related imaging per protocol.
• Calibrate equipment daily and maintain records.
