Job summary

Mass General Brigham's Newton-Wellesley Hospital is seeking a Radiology Aide to assist radiology technologists and radiologists, ensuring patient safety and smooth imaging procedures. The role involves greeting patients, preparing X-ray/CT/MRI/ultrasound equipment, positioning patients, assisting with image processing and PACS transfers, and transporting patients.

A high school diploma is required with 0–1 year radiology or hospital experience preferred, plus strong communication and attention

Qualifications

0–1 year Hospital/Managed Care or Radiology experience preferred.
Good communication and interpersonal skills essential for interacting with patients and radiology team.

Responsibilities

Greet and prepare patients for radiology procedures, explaining the imaging process and answering questions.
Prepare radiology equipment (X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound) for procedures.
Position patients correctly on the imaging table or appropriate standing/sitting position.
Assist radiology technologists with image processing tasks and transfer images to PACS.
Transport patients to/from radiology, ensuring safety and comfort.
Maintain accurate records of procedures for medical records and billing.
