Job summary

Qualifications

  • BLS certification required.
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT).
  • Radiography (R) certification.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine and emergent radiologic examinations, including obtaining and documenting patient history.
  • Explain procedures to patients, answer questions, and obtain written consent.
  • Position patients for each anatomical view using immobilization and protective equipment.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, interventionalists, and other healthcare team members to deliver coordinated services.
  • Employ safe radiation practices in accordance with ARRA regulations and licensing restrictions; minimize dose exposure to neonates and adolescents.
  • Coach and mentor newly hired technologists, agency staff, seasonal workers, transfers, and students.
  • Manage inventory control and exercise fiscal responsibility for department resources.
  • Ensure equipment is properly maintained and address concerns promptly.
  • Adhere to departmental on‑call and rotational scheduling at Yuma Regional Medical Center Main Campus, Foothills Imaging Center, and Outpatient Diagnostic Imaging/Cardiac Cath Lab areas.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
