Job summary

UNC Health is seeking a Radiology Tech to join the Radiology team at Caldwell Memorial Hospital in Lenoir, NC. This full-time night shift role involves performing routine radiology procedures, assisting radiologists, and ensuring patient safety and image quality.

A $15,000 commitment incentive is paid over three years. Ideal candidates have an Associate's degree or Radiologic Sciences program completion, ARRT registration or registry-eligible, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences Program.
• ARRT registration or registry eligible and registered within one year.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.
• No prior experience required.
• Knowledge of radiation protection, safety, infection control, TB and standard precautions.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of General Diagnostic Radiology and adheres to protocols; assists with equipment and procedures.
• Verifies patient identity and imaging requests; documents and transmits images to PACS.
• Conducts routine procedures and acquires diagnostic radiographic data.
• Performs exams timely; reviews orders, schedules, and maintains a clean, safe work area.
• Uses RIS, CIS, PACS and SMS to document procedure status and ensure data accuracy.
• Assesses patient condition, responds to emergencies, and ensures patient safety.
