Job summary

Boone Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographic exams in an acute care setting for adults and pediatrics. The role includes general radiography, fluoro, and intra-op imaging, with attention to patient comfort and safety.

Responsibilities include verifying orders, interviewing patients, positioning, and ensuring high-quality images while adhering to ALARA. Night shifts, shift differential offered, and benefits begin on day one.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Radiography required.
• 4+ years of radiography experience.
• R.T.(R) certification by ARRT required; BLS within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Performs imaging examinations in X-Ray, including general radiography, fluoro studies, and intra-op imaging.
• Explains procedures to patients and maintains a safe, comfortable environment with necessary pre- and post-procedure care.
• Reviews patient charts to verify exam orders and reasons for exams.
• Interviews patients regarding history, implants, allergies, etc.
• Positions patients and selects appropriate protocols to obtain diagnostic images.
• Operates imaging equipment, ensures safety, and applies ALARA principles.
• Administers contrast under radiologists’ supervision when applicable.
• Monitors patients for adverse reactions and maintains accurate records in PACS/EMR.
• Follows safety guidelines per ACR and regulatory bodies; collaborates with radiologists and healthcare team.
• Provides guidance and evaluations to students.
