Job summary

York Building Products is seeking a Quartz Plant Operator for the night shift to run and monitor processing equipment, ensure product quality, and maintain safe, efficient operation.

You will handle bulk quartz and related materials, perform routine tests, make adjustments, and document production data. This role requires comfort with heavy equipment, outdoor conditions, and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Mechanically minded and physically capable for hands-on, outdoor work.
• Willing to work at night, overtime, and weekends as needed.
• Experience in a processing plant (asphalt, sand, aggregate or similar).

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor processing equipment (dryer, conveyors, screens, elevators).
• Maintain production flow and adjust as needed to meet specifications.
• Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance.
• Run quality control tests and analyze results to ensure product meets specs.
• Record production and quality data using basic systems.
• Collaborate with maintenance and management to keep operations safe and efficient.
