Job summary

The Boston Beer Company in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a QA Packaging Technician for night shift (6pm–6am) to ensure GMP compliance and product quality on the packaging line. You will conduct tests, verify seams and codes, and support quality programs with accuracy and teamwork.

Responsibilities include SPC data interpretation, material validation, and daily HACCP audits, with collaboration across production and management to uphold safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years in a related quality, production, or manufacturing role.
• 3+ years in a production or industrial environment.
• GMP and basic laboratory/production safety practices.
• Understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC).
• Proficiency with computers and automated equipment for data entry and analysis (MS Word, Excel, Access, and QI Analyst).
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct product testing throughout the production process (TPO/fill/CO2 checks, Beer Analyzer).
• Interpret SPC data to decide equipment adjustments or shutdowns.
• Perform daily seam analysis to verify can seam integrity and detect leaks.
• Participate in sensory evaluation and tasting new product releases.
• Validate products, raw materials, and packaging against specifications; determine release or hold status.
• Verify coding, labeling, packaging quality, and overall product presentation.
• Maintain GMP and HACCP audits and ensure food-safety standards.
• Shut down processes not meeting GMP requirements and notify appropriate personnel.
