Job summary

The Boston Beer Company is seeking a Packaging Maintenance Technician at the Samuel Adams Brewery in Breinigsville, PA, on the night shift. You will diagnose and repair high-speed packaging equipment, perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, and support preventive maintenance programs on packaging assets.

Experience in high-speed food & beverage packaging and familiarity with NFPA 70E safety principles are preferred.

Qualifications

High-speed manufacturing in food & beverage or brewery.
Hands-on packaging line maintenance.
Experience troubleshooting fillers/sealers/labels/palletizers.
Mechanical power transmission and pneumatic/hydraulic knowledge.
Awareness of NFPA 70E electrical safety principles.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair high-speed packaging equipment (bottles, cans, labelers, coders, inspection systems).
Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting on packaging line components (bearings, belts, gearboxes, VFDs, servos).
Troubleshoot process/product nonconformances (fill volume, seams, labeling, jams).
Read drawings, schematics and piping diagrams for checks, changeovers and overhauls.
Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs for packaging assets.
Work safely around conveyors, high voltage, confined spaces and elevated platforms.
Safely operate forklifts and aerial lift equipment.
