Job summary

Acclaim Health in Fort Worth, TX, seeks a Physician for the Psychiatric Emergency Center (Nights). The PEC physician provides rapid psychiatric assessment, stabilization, and disposition planning in a high-acuity setting, collaborating with residents, APPs, nursing, social work, and learners to ensure safe, efficient care.

This role supports quality, safety, and operational excellence within the PEC, with 12-hour night shifts and a focus on admission, discharge, or referral to appropriate levels

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Residency and/or fellowship training in Psychiatry.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for acute emergencies.
• Develop stabilization and treatment plans in a high-acuity setting.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary care to optimize outcomes.
• Supervise and mentor psychiatric staff and trainees.
• Collaborate with nursing, social work, and other care teams for efficient patient flow.
• Review charts to assess, diagnose, treat, and educate patients and families.
• Ensure care delivery aligns with Acclaim Health and JPS guidelines.
• Provide evidence-based, compassionate care to improve outcomes and satisfaction.
• Support quality, safety, and operational excellence in the PEC.
