Qualifications

• Five to seven years power plant operation experience required.
• Stationary Operating Engineer's License from the City of Providence is needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain steam turbine generators for electricity production.
• Monitor and log performance metrics for all equipment.
• Inspect and maintain boiler room operations and related machinery.

Skills

Knowledge of thermodynamics of steam

Knowledge of generators and electricity

Basic equipment maintenance

Education

Completion of High School or Vocational School

Two years training in boiler and turbo-generator operations
