Job summary

MercyOne Neurodiagnostic Services seeks a polysomnographic technologist to perform standard and complex sleep studies, score data, and educate patients. The role involves coordinating with the medical director, preparing equipment, and applying sensors to ensure accurate testing results.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; higher degree acceptable.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Credentialed as CRT, RRT, REEGT, or BRPT or eligible.
• Registered in sleep technology or eligible to sit for the registry examination.
• Must become Registered within two years of hire.
• BLS certification required; enrolled in or completed A-STEP or CAAHEP if not registered.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze patient information to identify patient-specific needs and determine testing parameters.
• Prepare and calibrate equipment for testing and ensure proper functioning.
• Apply electrodes and sensors according to established standards.
• Score sleep stages and clinical events according to protocols and generate reports.
• Perform physiologic calibrations and PAP mask fitting; monitor data quality throughout testing.
