Job summary

Houston Methodist seeks a Polysomnographic Technologist to perform sleep studies under supervision. You will assist physicians, acquire high-quality data, and educate patients about procedures while maintaining safety and comfort.

The role requires a BRPT or NBRC credential and BLS certification, with a rotating shift pattern in the Sleep Center. The position is on-site, non-exempt, and supports strong teamwork across the care team.

Qualifications

• Education program approved by credentialing body for required credentials.
• One year experience in a Sleep Disorders laboratory preferred.
• Must have BRPT RPSGT or NBRC RRT-SDS sleep disorder credential and BLS.

Responsibilities

• Performs polysomnographic procedures following protocols.
• Educates patients on sleep study procedures and obtains consent.
• Prepares patients and applies electrodes, sensors and monitoring equipment.
• Maintains accurate documentation and data integrity in systems.
