Job summary

MultiCare Health System, Inc. in Tacoma General is seeking a Polysomnographic Technician for the night shift to perform sleep studies and analysis with supervision. This technical role requires precise electrode placement, monitoring, and artifacts management within a sleep-lab setting.

Qualifications

• Boarded by the BRPT (Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists).
• Accredited educational program leading to an associate degree with emphasis in polysomnography (CAAHEP preferred).
• OR completion of a polysomnography program of at least one year with state licensed and/or nationally accredited (CAAHEP preferred) facility.
• OR A-STEP accredited program leading to a polysomnography certificate.
• OR minimum six months work experience as a Polysomnographic Trainee.
• Minimum one year polysomnographic technology experience (preferred).
• CPR required.

Responsibilities

• Documented proficiency in core competencies.
• Arrival preparation and electrode/sensor application.
• Capnography.
• Maintenance, cleaning and safety precautions.
• Monitoring Pulse Oximetry.
• PAP titration.
• Polysomnographic montages and equipment calibration and function.
• Supplemental low flow oxygen titration.
