Position Summary: The Night Picker is responsible for safely identifying, selecting and loading product into trucks appropriately for routing and delivery to customer, while working in a fast paced environment and is expected to safely load trucks nightly, efficiently and error free

What you’ll do:

• Use a scan gun to determine information such as product location, product codes, sequence of deliveries and special loading instructions
• Affixes shipping labels on cartons
• Examines outgoing product to ensure quality of product meets specifications
• Selects, picks and palletizes product by hand and loads into trucks in doors assigned
• Position merchandise so that proper stacking rules are employed and light cartons are positioned above heavier items
• Weighs certain items and records weight for company records
• General housekeeping of the shipping dock, aisles and coolers
• Responsible for adhering to food security, food safety regulations and policies (SQF, HACCP, CGMPs)
  
  

About you:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certified to operate a pallet jack or stand up electric forklift
• able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. consistently
• Able to read product codes and special instructions for orders
• Work in cold temperatures ranging from -0 to 40 degrees
• Work schedule (Sunday - Friday 5/6:00pm - until last truck is loaded)
