Responsibilities

• Performs skin punctures to obtain blood specimens for laboratory testing.
• Responsible for prompt, accurate processing of test requisitions and ordering tests for outpatients.
• Distributes and files test results and physician orders; communicates with patients, physicians and nursing units as needed.
• Maintains neat and organized collection trays and work areas.
• Demonstrates professionalism under demanding, stressful conditions.
