Job summary

CVS Health in Massachusetts is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to lead daily pharmacy operations, ensure safe dispensing, provide patient counseling, and support immunization programs in a fast-paced retail setting.

You will act as a clinical resource for the pharmacy team, supervise technicians, maintain compliance with state regulations, and strive to deliver compassionate, high-quality care to every patient who enters the store.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located.
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.

Responsibilities

• Living our purpose by helping to manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices.
• Assumes Pharmacy Manager's day-to-day duties when serving as the only or the primary pharmacist-on-duty.
• Supporting safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following pharmacy workflow procedures and safety guardrails.
• Contributing to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care, and coaching the pharmacy team to do the same.
• Providing and delivering immunizations to keep patients healthy; supporting Pharmacy Technicians to learn to immunize.
• Ensuring compliance with state Board of Pharmacy regulations and CVS Health policies.
