You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, oversee patient flow, provide family education, and contribute to quality initiatives while ensuring regulatory compliance and safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in respiratory care from an accredited program is required.
• Active Florida RT license in good standing upon hire.
• Current Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.
• NICU Level II/III experience with hours requirements.
• BLS and PALS certifications required upon hire; NRP/ACLS/STABLE within specified timelines.
• Air Medical Crew Core Curriculum preferred; willingness to obtain within first year.

Responsibilities

• Deliver care in a non-judgmental and nondiscriminatory manner.
• Provide patient education for diagnostic procedures, medical conditions and treatment plans.
• Oversee patient flow, providing clinical direction to other team members; participate in research studies and quality improvement initiatives.
• Evaluate effectiveness of medical interventions and address changes as needed.
• Engage in advocacy and ethical decisions with parents and families.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy within regulatory parameters.
