Job summary
Interim HealthCare Eastern Dakotas is seeking an overnight pediatric registered nurse or caregiver to support a 13-year-old boy with complex medical needs in home care settings in Sioux Falls and Brookings, SD. The role focuses on ventilator care, tracheostomy management, and GJ tube feeding, with non-verbal communication support.
The ideal candidate will have RN licensure, pediatric respiratory experience, and CPR certification.
Qualifications
- RN license is required and active in the state.
- Experience with tracheostomy and ventilator care is required.
- Pediatric respiratory care experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is required or available onsite.
Responsibilities
- Monitor ventilator and pulse oximeter during the night.
- Perform tracheostomy suctioning as needed.
- Clean and maintain tracheostomy/tracheostomy care.
- Administer GJ tube feedings and medications.
- Operate cough assist devices to manage secretions.
- Provide respiratory treatments (nebulizers, inhalers).
- Assist with bedtime hygiene and showering.
- Reposition and assist with incontinence care as needed.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety overnight.
