Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health seeks a Registered Nurse for the ER Pediatric Unit at the New Brunswick campus on the night shift. Candidates should have ASN or Nursing Diploma, PALS, 4–5 years of pediatric ED/CCRN experience, and NJ RN license with BLS/ACLS.

BSN is preferred or to be completed within 5 years. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and evidence-based practice within a compassionate pediatric care environment.

Qualifications

• ASN or Nursing Diploma required.
• PALS certification required.
• 4–5 years pediatric ED RN or pediatric critical care RN experience.
• BSN preferred or must be completed within 5 years of hire.
• BLS and ACLS certifications; NJ RN license active.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in ER pediatric unit per ANA ethics and standards.
• Ensure patient safety and apply evidence-based practice principles.
• Supervise and direct delegation to team members and coordinate with care providers.
• Identify safety issues and report hazards or medical errors.
• Prioritize interventions with measurable outcomes and contribute to care plans.
