Job summary

Akron Children’s Hospital is seeking a Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to deliver high-acuity critical care in our PICU/CICU, including neonates, children, and selected adults within a Level I trauma setting.

The APP collaborates with cardiology, cardiothoracic, and other specialists, participating in rounds and care coordination while maintaining rigorous documentation and patient safety standards.

Qualifications

• Education: Master's or Doctoral degree as a Pediatric Acute Care NP.
• Current Ohio licensure with Certificate of Authority and ability to prescribe (or eligibility).
• Board certification in pediatric acute care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-acuity, 24/7 pediatric critical care in PICU/CICU.
• Collaborate with intensivists, cardiology, andcardiothoracic teams; lead rounds.
• Perform and supervise advanced critical care procedures as allowed by privileging.
