Job summary

Jackson Health System in Miami, FL is seeking a Patient Care Associate I to join the Central Staffing team for night shifts. The role focuses on patient-focused care, supporting the health care team, and performing general nursing assistant tasks under supervision.

Responsibilities include assisting with procedures, measuring vitals, transporting patients, maintaining clean rooms, phlebotomy where required, and ensuring timely patient flow while upholding CARE values and infection control

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant training program is required.
• Medical Assistant Certification OR Certified Nursing Assistant license, including Phlebotomy is required.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification may be required at the unit level.

Responsibilities

• Uses a systematic process to provide/modify care and patient/family education.
• Assists health care team with procedures; prepares supplies & equipment; provides patient/family support.
• Performs general patient care tasks including vital signs, mobility, hygiene, and equipment setup.
• Transports patients to/from treatment areas and maintains clean treatment spaces.
• Assists with office duties and supports the health care team with set-up and restocking.
