Job summary

Jackson Health System is seeking a Patient Care Associate 1 for the Central Staffing unit in Miami, FL. The role supports patient care through education, basic procedures, and vital sign monitoring in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Requirements include completion of an approved Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program and a current phlebotomy-capable credential. BLS is required, with 0–3 years of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide patient-focused care and education using the care team approach.
Assists in simple procedures, prepares supplies and equipment, and supports patient/family.
Monitor vital signs, mobility, hygiene and routine care tasks per unit policy.
Prepare and clean exam rooms and treatment areas between patient uses.
Transport patients and assist with equipment and supplies as needed.
Assist with office duties and patient flow processes to reduce wait times.
Perform phlebotomy as assigned and maintain unit credentials.
