Job summary

Ensemble Health Partners in Topeka, KS is hiring an entry-level Patient Access Specialist to perform admitting duties for patients. You will collect insurance information, verify eligibility, schedule, and guide patients through the registration process, while upholding our compliance standards.

This onsite role offers a starting hourly range of $17.00–$18.15, paid certifications, tuition reimbursement, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of customer service experience.
• CRCR certification within 6 months of hire (company paid).
• High School Diploma/GED required.

Responsibilities

• Admitting duties for all patients admitted for services at the hospital while meeting organizational mission and regulatory requirements.
• Assign MRNs, complete medical necessity / compliance checks, collect insurance information, and process physician orders.
• Operate the telephone switchboard and provide excellent customer service with appropriate compassion.
• Audit and correct accounts using quality auditing and reporting systems to support POS and billing processes.
• Pre-register patient accounts, obtain demographic and insurance information, including patient financial liabilities.
