Job summary

ThedaCare is seeking a Paramedic to perform nursing support duties under supervision by licensed team members, including RN, physician, or APC. Schedule: Full time, 36 hrs/week, night shift (7:00pm-7:00am), with every 4th weekend and holiday rotation.

The ideal candidate will have completed a Paramedic Program, BLS on hire, a WI Paramedic license, and ACLS & PALS within 6 months of hire. Location includes ThedaCare Medical Center Fond Du Lac and Oshkosh Expansion Hospital.

Qualifications

• Completion of Paramedic Program.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire.
• Paramedic license for the State of WI.
• American Heart Association ACLS & PALS within 6 months of hire.
• High School diploma is required for Oshkosh Expansion Hospital and ThedaCare Medical Center Fond Du Lac.

Responsibilities

• Receives direction and assignments from licensed team members and provides technical support to optimize patient care.
• Reports on the condition of the patient to the appropriate licensed team members to ensure safe, quality patient care.
• Completes accurate documentation in the electronic medical record.
• Reinforces patient education performed by the RN.
• Assists with patient transport to other departments as needed based on patient condition.
• Assists with maintaining a safe and clean environment to perform patient care.
• Administers medications under the general supervision of the RN or Provider in accordance with the ThedaCare-approved Paramedic medication list.
