Job summary

ThedaCare is seeking a Paramedic to join the nursing support team at ThedaCare Medical Center - Shawano. You will perform a range of direct care functions under general supervision by licensed clinicians, ensuring timely and accurate documentation and patient transport as needed.

Responsibilities include administering medications under supervision, reinforcing RN patient education, and maintaining a safe environment for patient care.

Qualifications

• Completion of Paramedic Program.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire.
• Paramedic license for the State of WI.
• ACLS & PALS within 6 months of hire.
• For Oshkosh Expansion Hospital and ThedaCare Medical Center Fond du Lac: High School diploma is required.

Responsibilities

• Receives direction and assignments from licensed team members and provides technical support to optimize patient care.
• Reports on the condition of the patient to the appropriate licensed team members to ensure safe, quality patient care.
• Completes accurate documentation in the electronic medical record.
• Reinforces patient education performed by the RN.
• Assists with patient transport to other departments as needed based on patient condition.
• Assists with maintaining a safe and clean environment to perform patient care.
• Administers medications under the general supervision of the RN or Provider in accordance with the ThedaCare-approved Paramedic medication list.
