Job summary

Utz Quality Foods is seeking Packaging Machine Operators for the Week Night Shift (Monday-Thursday, 6PM-6AM) in Hanover, PA. This full-time role offers a steady 4-day workweek and opportunities for career growth within a household-name company.

You will set up and run packaging lines, perform start-up checks, monitor quality, and help with maintenance as needed while logging production data and keeping a clean, safe work area.

Qualifications

• Basic reading, writing and math skills required.
• Ability to read and understand English instructions and communicate with operators/maintenance.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to obtain forklift license (training provided).
• Basic computer skills for data entry.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate packaging lines safely and efficiently.
• Perform routine checks at shift start and throughout the day to ensure machines run properly.
• Monitor packaging quality (weights, seals, codes, pricing).
• Troubleshoot minor machine issues and support maintenance as needed.
• Keep accurate records of production, film usage, and quality checks.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Communicate with the next shift and support teamwork across lines.
• Train new operators as needed.
