Job summary

Shearer’s Foods, Inc. is seeking an Operations Supervisor for the Night shift to lead plant floor activities and drive safety, quality and productivity in a lean, continuous-improvement environment.

The role requires directing hourly staff, enforcing safety rules, and coordinating across departments to meet production targets while maintaining regulatory compliance and strong employee relations.

Qualifications

• 2-year degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 1+ year in production management or supervision, preferably in food processing.
• Strong leadership capabilities to elevate the team.

Responsibilities

• Directs employees and plant floor activities to achieve a consistent, high-quality product.
• Ensures a safe workplace by enforcing safety and sanitation rules and principles.
• Ensures compliance with Federal, State and Company regulatory requirements.
• Maintains positive employee relations and participates in evaluation and training of hourly personnel.
• Tracks performance and attendance to meet metrics and resolves issues promptly.
• Uses metrics to evaluate and improve work processes and maintains related documentation.
• Collaborates with other supervisors and cross-functional teams to coordinate operations and activities.
• Plans and establishes work schedules.
