Job summary

DSV - Global Transport and Logistics in Clarksville, TN is seeking a Data Center Supervisor for the E Shift (Friday-Sunday, 6pm-6am). The role oversees freight handling operations, ensures timely movement of goods, and coordinates with carriers and customers to resolve issues.

Responsibilities include leading a team, managing inventory, maintaining compliance, and preparing performance reports. Bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years in logistics ops with supervisory experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in freight operations or logistics with supervisory/leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of freight handlers and operational staff.
• Assign tasks, provide guidance, and monitor performance to ensure efficient operations.
• Coordinate loading, unloading, and handling of freight shipments.
• Ensure proper documentation, labeling, and packaging of goods in compliance with regulations.
• Plan and prioritize freight operations to meet customer demands and deadlines.
• Monitor workflow and adjust resources to optimize efficiency.
• Liaise with customers, carriers, and stakeholders to coordinate freight movements and address inquiries.
• Ensure timely communication and resolution of customer concerns.
• Implement quality control measures to ensure accuracy of freight handling processes.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain service quality.
• Enforce safety protocols and provide safety training.
• Oversee inventory control processes and reconcile records.
• Prepare operational reports including performance metrics and inventory levels.
• Maintain documentation of freight movements (bills of lading, manifests).
