Job summary

DSV Air & Sea Inc. in Clarksville, TN is seeking a Supervisor-Outbound onsite for the A Shift (Mon–Fri 6:00 PM – 2:30 AM).

You will lead a team of freight handlers and operations staff, assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure efficient loading, unloading, and freight handling with strict safety and quality controls. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, or business and 3–5 years of supervisory experience in freight operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in freight operations or logistics with supervisory or leadership experience.
• Strong leadership, organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency with WMS and TMS systems; excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of freight handlers and operational staff.
• Assign tasks, provide guidance, and monitor performance to ensure efficient operations.
• Coordinate loading, unloading, and handling of freight shipments.
• Ensure proper documentation, labeling, and packaging of goods in compliance with regulations.
• Plan and prioritize freight operations to meet customer demands and deadlines.
• Monitor workflow and adjust resources to optimize efficiency.
• Liaise with customers, carriers, and stakeholders to coordinate freight movements.
• Ensure timely communication and resolution of customer concerns.
• Implement quality control measures to ensure accuracy of freight handling.
• Conduct inspections and audits to maintain service quality.
• Enforce safety protocols and provide safety training.
• Oversee inventory control, including stock management and cycle counts.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and documentation of freight movements.
• Prepare operational reports and incident reports.
