The Night Operations Department Supervisor is primarily responsible for leading and enabling a team of associates to deliver the best possible customer experience in the store. This includes coaching and training associates, delegating, following-up on daily tasks, managing performance, and ensuring adequate department coverage. The role involves planning, scheduling, monitoring, and implementing all non-selling operations in the back end and front end of the store to facilitate a superior customer shopping experience and maximize sales and profitability.
Successful candidates must collaborate and communicate with other Department Supervisors and Assistant Store Managers to meet service, operations, and safety objectives. They should continuously drive efficiencies and teach skills necessary for effective store operations, while keeping management informed of concerns, issues, recognitions, and morale. The role also involves safety responsibilities like conducting safety walks, reporting hazards, and training staff.
Occasional store opening or closing and serving as manager-on-duty (MOD) may be required.
This role does not require regular travel but may occasionally involve travel for meetings, training, or supporting neighboring stores.
High School Diploma or equivalent plus 3 years of retail experience, or 5 years of retail experience. Experience leading teams, supporting or participating in training and development, working cross-functionally, and using Microsoft Office. Ability to obtain necessary sales licensure if required by law.
Note: If a salesperson license is legally required, the candidate must obtain it within 60 days of employment.
