What You Will Do

All Lowe’s associates deliver quality customer service while maintaining a store that is clean, safe, and stocked with the products our customers need. As a Night Operations Department Supervisor, this means:

  • Removing barriers, addressing inefficiencies, and enabling staff to delight our customers.
  • Collaborating with front-end and back-end operations associates to ensure items are adequately stocked.
  • Monitoring use of store power equipment and coaching employees on safe behaviors and lifting techniques.
Additional Responsibilities

The Night Operations Department Supervisor is primarily responsible for leading and enabling a team of associates to deliver the best possible customer experience in the store. This includes coaching and training associates, delegating, following-up on daily tasks, managing performance, and ensuring adequate department coverage. The role involves planning, scheduling, monitoring, and implementing all non-selling operations in the back end and front end of the store to facilitate a superior customer shopping experience and maximize sales and profitability.

Successful candidates must collaborate and communicate with other Department Supervisors and Assistant Store Managers to meet service, operations, and safety objectives. They should continuously drive efficiencies and teach skills necessary for effective store operations, while keeping management informed of concerns, issues, recognitions, and morale. The role also involves safety responsibilities like conducting safety walks, reporting hazards, and training staff.

Occasional store opening or closing and serving as manager-on-duty (MOD) may be required.

Travel Requirements

This role does not require regular travel but may occasionally involve travel for meetings, training, or supporting neighboring stores.

What We're Looking For
  • Hourly Full Time: Generally scheduled 39 to 40 hours; additional hours may be required.
  • Requires working overnight shift.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks involving prolonged standing, sitting, and lifting (minimum 25 pounds).
Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent plus 3 years of retail experience, or 5 years of retail experience. Experience leading teams, supporting or participating in training and development, working cross-functionally, and using Microsoft Office. Ability to obtain necessary sales licensure if required by law.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting front-end/back-end operations, customer service, leadership roles, and working in home improvement retail.
  • Experience with store computer systems (e.g., Project Tool, Genesis, Sterling).

Note: If a salesperson license is legally required, the candidate must obtain it within 60 days of employment.
