Position Overview

Assistant Store Managers in Training are learning the responsibilities and functions of roles such as Assistant Store Manager, Operations Assistant Store Manager, Night Operations Assistant Store Manager, and Specialty Assistant Store Manager. They support the Store Manager in developing strategies to drive sales and profitability through effective leadership and communication with associates.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise customer service initiatives, including staffing, stock management, store appearance, and addressing customer concerns.
• Manage store associates through hiring, coaching, training, and performance reviews.
• Oversee store operations, including sales transactions, inventory receiving, and equipment maintenance, ensuring safety compliance.
• Analyze sales data to support merchandise planning and department profitability.

Reporting and Travel

Report to a Store Manager; expect less than 10% overnight travel.

Physical & Working Conditions

Primarily indoor work, sitting and moving about; infrequent physical tasks.

Qualifications
