Job summary

The RN Clinical Charge Nurse at Wellstar Cobb Hospital leads the Oncology Unit during night shifts, directing daily care activities and guiding licensed and unlicensed staff to deliver safe, compassionate care.

In partnership with Nurse Managers, you will manage staffing, patient flow, and clinical concerns, while fostering evidence-based practice and professional development among team members.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited/approved school of nursing with either an Associate Degree/Diploma or a BSN.
• Licenses: Basic Life Support (BLS), RN licensure in one state (or multistate), ACLS.
• Active nursing license and required certifications upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily unit activities on the assigned night shift.
• Develop staff schedules and manage unit patient flow.
• Provide clinical leadership and supervision for licensed/unlicensed staff.
• Round with physicians/surgeons and coordinate care planning.
• Ensure safe, high-quality patient care and adherence to standards.
