Lifespan's Newport Hospital in Newport, RI is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support patient care under RN supervision. Qualifications

• Current Rhode Island license as a Nursing Assistant.
• High school graduate or its equivalent preferred.
• Ability to perform basic computer skills.
• Certified in American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS.
• Demonstrates knowledge to care for patients throughout the life span.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Registered Nurse to organize work and set priorities.
• Perform personal care skills.
• Provide basic nursing assistant tasks as defined by state licensing.
• Assist with rehabilitation activities and activities of daily living.
• Maintain a safe environment and report unsafe conditions or equipment issues.
• Document observations and care in the EHR and care flowsheet.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in patient observer duties as needed.
