Corewell Health Zeeland Hospital seeks a dedicated Med Surg team member for night shifts on a 36‑hour weekly schedule. The role involves vital signs, wound care, ambulation, and assisting with catheterization, while maintaining patient safety and dignity throughout the shift.

You will work in a 29-bed Med Surg unit with an attached 7-bed ICU, serving medical and surgical patients. This position requires a high school diploma and BLS within 90 days, with comprehensive benefits and opportunities

Qualifications

• Take vitals and monitor patient status.
• Support patient comfort and safety during care.
• Communicate effectively with the care team and patients.

Responsibilities

• Take vitals and monitor vital signs.
• Check blood sugars as ordered.
• Bed bathing and daily hygiene.
• Ambulate patients and assist with mobility.
• Provide wound care as directed.
• Assist with catheterization when required.
• Act as safety attendant and maintain patient safety.
• Ensure environment and equipment cleanliness; report malfunctions.
• Uphold patient privacy, confidentiality and data security.
