CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Corpus Christi - Shoreline is seeking a Nursing Supervisor to oversee nursing staff, ensure timely patient flow, and provide clinical leadership. The role emphasizes coordination with admitting and nursing units, crisis management, and staff training.

The ideal candidate will have a nursing degree, Texas RN license, and 2+ years of supervisory nursing experience in an acute care hospital, with ACLS, NIHSS, and de-escalation training within defined timeframes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience and supervisor experience in an acute care hospital.
• Current Texas State RN license
• CPR (American Heart Association)
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire/transfer date
• NIHSS required within 90 days of hire/transfer date
• De-escalation training required within 90 days of hire/transfer date
• NRP certification within 90 days of hire/transfer date for Alice/Beeville/Kleberg facilities

Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates nursing staff in the patient care unit.
• Ensures patients' needs are met and evaluates unit nursing care and performance.
• Plans and organizes training for unit staff and participates in guidance and educational programs.
• Coordinates patient flow and acts as a liaison with admitting department and nursing units.
• Provides leadership for all hospital codes and/or crisis management.
