Job summary

Children’s Nebraska is seeking an RN to join the Behavioral Health & Wellness Center on nights. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to assess pediatric patients, develop care plans, and monitor safety and documentation throughout hospitalization.

Your clinical judgment supports families and responds to behavioral emergencies while upholding regulatory standards. Preferred candidates hold RN licensure in Nebraska or compact state, BLS certification, and experience with EPIC.

Qualifications

• RN license Nebraska or Compact State required at hire
• BLS certification required at hire
• PALS certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform individualized, age-specific patient/family assessments per unit standards.
• Develop and update patient/family plans of care with Behavioral Health Team.
• Respond to behavioral emergencies and ensure safety for patients and staff.
• Document care and assessments accurately in the medical record within policy timelines.
• Provide education and support to patients and families as appropriate.
