Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Supervise night shift nursing staff and coordinate 24-hour care.
• Lead rounds and monitor resident conditions, especially acutely ill.
• Respond to medical emergencies and conduct root-cause investigations when needed.
• Manage staffing levels, call-offs, and replacements for the 24-hour period.
• Prepare written reports for the Director of Nursing on overnight events.
• Oversee admissions, transfers, and discharges and audit clinical documents.
• Mentor staff, provide feedback, and promote professional development.
• Ensure safety, security, and regulatory compliance throughout the night.
• Communicate resident needs and concerns to Nurse Managers and teams.
• Participate in care-planning updates and quality-improvement activities.
