Job summary

The Colorado Coalition for the Homeless is seeking an experienced Nurse Leader to manage the Stout Street Health Center (SSHC) nursing services. You will supervise RNs, supervise staff performance, and drive quality improvement projects while ensuring compliance with state and federal nursing standards.

You will collaborate with RN Education Coordinator and health center leadership to maintain high-quality patient care and effective team communication.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license required in Colorado.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Two years of RN experience with ambulatory/public/community health experience preferred.
• Minimum two years supervising staff in a health care setting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing staff including RNs, Nurse Coordinators, Medical Assistants Supervisors, and Medical Assistants.
• Ensure clinical nursing quality and staff practice within Colorado regulations.
• Lead 1:1 supervision, coaching, training, and performance feedback for direct reports.
• Maintain high standard of care through training, QA metrics, and adherence to policies.
• Lead scheduling and staffing to meet patient care needs and RN FTE targets.
• Represent SSHC in leadership meetings and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Lead quality improvement projects and LEAN initiatives for SSHC and nursing department.
• Foster collaboration across care teams and ensure regular, effective communication.
