Job summary

UTMB Health is seeking a Nurse Clinician II (RN) for the GMC Overflow Unit (Nights) in Galveston, TX. The role requires six months of RN experience or completion of probationary NC I, with a current Texas RN license and BLS certification. Salary is commensurate with experience; nights shift available.

Responsibilities include assessing patients, implementing plans, and coordinating care in a fast-paced unit, using evidence-based practice and UTMB policies.

Qualifications

• RN with six months of clinical RN experience and/or successful completion of probationary NC I period documented on nursing evaluation tool.
• Must possess and maintain a current Registered Nurse license in Texas.
• Current BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents daily patient care.
• Executes physician orders and administers medications per UTMB policies.
• Delivers culturally congruent care and supports safety and quality initiatives.
• Performs routine nursing procedures in the specialty area.
