Job summary

UTMB Health seeks a Nurse Clinician II (RN) for the Neuro Critical Care Unit on nights in Galveston Island. The role requires an RN with six months of clinical experience and a current Texas RN license with BLS.

Qualifications

• RN with six months of clinical RN experience and/or successful completion of probationary NC I period documented on nursing evaluation tool.
• Must possess and maintain a current Registered Nurse license or valid permit to practice in Texas.
• Current BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents the daily care of assigned patients.
• Executes physician's orders and administers medications and treatments as per UTMB policies.
• Provides patient/family instruction using Teach-Back and evidence-based resources.
• Plans, coordinates, and prioritizes patient care activities with inter-professional team.
• Maintains safety and continuity of care with bedside shift reports and hand-offs.
