SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital – Madison is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care on the Campus Float Pool during night shifts.

This position emphasizes evidence-based nursing and collaboration with interprofessional teams in a fast-paced environment. The role requires a nursing degree, RN license (IL/MO/OK/WI) and current BLS HCP certification, with 36 weekly hours and weekend coverage as scheduled.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• One year registered nurse experience (Ministry Float) or two years' registered nurse experience (Regional Float).
• State RN licensure required in the applicable work location (IL, MO, OK, WI) with BLS HCP.

Responsibilities

• Uses standards of medical-surgical nursing practice to increase the quality of care and quality of life for the patient, family, and significant other(s).
• Establishes relationships and acts as an advocate to facilitate care plans tailored to patient needs.
• Uses the nursing process to develop and implement the plan of care and evaluate patient outcomes.
• Coordinates and collaborates with patients, families, and interprofessional team to plan interventions and evaluate outcomes.
• Delivers education to patient and family to promote health, comfort, and well-being.
