Qualifications

• Current State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from NBRC.
• Neonatal/Pediatric Specialty (NPS) credential preferred.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS and NRP certifications required upon hire and maintained.
• Associate or Bachelor degree preferred.
• Two years neonatal clinical experience preferred, in a level II/III NICU.
• Intubation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver advanced respiratory therapy and manage ventilator settings for premature and critically ill newborns, including CPAP and surfactant administration.
• Assist with neonatal resuscitation, intubation, and transport in collaboration with NICU teams.
• Perform blood gas analysis and monitor respiratory therapies based on clinical data.
• Mentor and support junior staff, and help develop NICU respiratory protocols.
• Partner with NICU teams to create care plans and document treatments and responses.
