Job summary

Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, OH seeks a NICU nurse with level IV NICU experience to join our night shift team. This 0.6–0.9 FTE position runs 7 pm–7 am, requires travel to nine NCH NICUs, includes 2 holidays and every 5th weekend.

BSN is required, NRP certification strongly preferred, with opportunities to obtain PALS, ACLS, and related certifications. You will provide family-centered care, collaborate with LPNs, PCAs, and allied staff, and uphold ANA ethics while advancing

Qualifications

• Must have 2 years of level IV NICU experience.
• Must have NRP certification.
• BSN is required or be willing to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
• Current CPR certification required; willing to obtain NRP, PALS, ACLS, APHON as determined by manager.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients to move rapidly, uneventfully through their episode of care with safety as priority.
• Delegates, directs, oversees and provides developmentally appropriate patient care.
• Practices professional nursing and promotes patient advocacy in line with ANA Code of Ethics.
