Job summary

UChicago Medicine is seeking a Neurodiagnostic Tech Assistant to support the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit. The role partners with Neurodiagnostic Technologists to monitor patients, document observations, and ensure safety during cEEG testing.

The position requires a High School diploma or equivalent, good communication skills, and BLS certification within 90 days of hire. This is a part-time night-shift role at Comer Children's Hospital with on-site work.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to effectively communicate with hospital staff and departments.
• CPR certification in basic life support (BLS) within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring EMU patients to ensure patient safety.
• Alert physicians of seizure or behavioral changes.
• Recognize EEG waveform patterns and assist in patient care as needed.
• Restock supplies and prepare patient rooms; clean/disinfect equipment.
