Job summary

AdventHealth in Wesley Chapel, FL is seeking a Radiology Imaging Technologist for a full-time night shift. You will perform a wide range of imaging exams (CT, MRI, X-Ray, mammography, ultrasound, Dexa) and ensure patient safety, protocol adherence, and quality imaging across all ages.

Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and communication are essential for fast-paced workflow. Responsibilities include QA on scanners, IST image reviews, IV placement, PACS/EMR usage, and adherence to radiation

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse backgrounds (Required).
• Knowledge of imaging procedures and protocols (Required).
• Knowledge of imaging scanners and equipment (Required).
• Ability to learn and grow with new technology (Required).
• Excellent customer service skills (Required).
• Safety knowledge in credentialed areas (Required).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required).
• Ability to learn and use Radiology software packages like PACS/EMR (Required).
• Ability to follow department policies (Required).
• Maintain registries and licenses to perform imaging (Required).
• Follow radiation safety concepts to minimize exposure (Required).
• Complete exams timely to meet TAT goals (Required).
• Assess and place IVs for CT/MR use (Required).
• Ability to perform all studies in registries for all ages (Required).
• General computer skills (Preferred).
• Basic IV competency (Preferred).
• General physics and anatomy (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Shift: Monday-Thursday 2200-0630.
• Maintains a clean, organized, well-stocked room and handles QA on scanners, waste per training.
• Reviews all images for accuracy and quality, repeats as needed for best results.
• Uses the computer system to order, change, and cancel exams; ensures orders match exams.
• Participates in staff satisfaction and customer service initiatives; supports process improvement.
• Attends department and mandatory meetings with a positive attitude and stays informed.
• Performs waived and non-waived Point of Care Testing with approved competency.
• Complies with standards if registered in sonography.
• Completes all exams in a timely manner, maintains workflow and reduces empty table time.
• Performs imaging procedures using AdventHealth CT, MRI, X-Ray, mammography, ultrasound, or Dexa protocols; educates patients and ensures proper safety.
• Operates imaging equipment safely, adapts protocols for all ages and follows infection control standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
