Qualifications

• ARRT registration in radiologic technology required.
• NMTCB or ARMRIT certification acceptable.
• New graduates must obtain ARRT-MR, ARRT-R or NMTCB/ARMRIT prior to first day.
• Hires after Mar 10, 2024 must obtain level 2 advanced certification within 24 months.

Responsibilities

• Ensure correct patient identification and proper exam preparation.
• Utilize imaging protocol and optimize factors per ALARA to enhance safety.
• Assist licensed practitioner with MR procedures and interventional steps.
• Perform MR imaging procedures as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
• Select pulse sequences per established protocols and data acquisition factors.
• Educate and monitor students and other health care providers.
• Verify archival storage and data transfer; post-process as needed.
• Maintain MRI safety knowledge and participate in safety investigations.
