Job summary

The MRI Technologist role at Northwestern Medicine primarily provides imaging services to patients in the Feinberg Pavilion and supports inpatient care operations.

This is a full-time night shift position with three 12-hour shifts per week beginning at 12:00 a.m. and includes every other weekend as part of the regular schedule. The candidate will uphold safety standards and contribute to a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist Program.
• ARRT MRI Certification OR ARMRIT.
• Basic Life Support (BLS).

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient safety throughout the imaging process and post-procedure care.
• Produce diagnostic-quality MRI images using approved protocols.
• Apply professional judgment within protocols to optimize image quality.
• Review images prior to exam completion and initiate corrective action when needed.
• Administer contrast per policy and monitor patients.
• Operate imaging equipment and maintain imaging room readiness.
• Coordinate exam flow and prioritize time-sensitive studies.
• Document exam details in medical records and image archive systems.
• Uphold organizational values and compliance with safety standards.

Education
