Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join our Radiology team in a full-time role. You will perform high-quality MRI scans, adhere to safety protocols, and coordinate with clinical staff to ensure patient-centered imaging.

This position features a rotating weekend schedule, two 12-hour shifts and two 8-hour shifts, with additional on-call or weekend coverage as required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist Program.
• MRI certification ARRT or ARMRIT required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains accountability for patient safety throughout the imaging process, including screening, preparation, monitoring, and post-procedure care.
• Produces diagnostic-quality images using approved protocols and professional standards.
• Applies professional judgment within approved protocols to optimize image quality and address imaging challenges.
• Reviews images prior to exam completion and initiates corrective action when diagnostic adequacy is not met.
• Administers contrast in accordance with policy, including screening for contraindications and patient monitoring.
