Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Complete Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia course; related courses within 90 days of hire.
• Basic Life Support (AHA) certification required.
• ALS certifications may be required per unit policies.
• Knowledge of arrhythmia recognition and CRT rhythm interpretation.
• Good visual acuity and sustained concentration for rhythm observation.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Telemetry monitoring or related field experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide telemetry monitoring and unit clerical support for patients.
• Keep patient information accurate to aid physician and staff coordination.
• Schedule tests and procedures; maintain up-to-date records.
• Sign patients in and out of the unit and perform receptionist duties.
• Alert management to issues related to unit policies or practices.
• Document rhythm changes and report according to protocol.
